A headshot identifies you. An executive portrait has a job to do.
My work is focused on how executives, entrepreneurs, and market influencers need to be represented in the marketplace - whether that is in a board profile, press article, investor presentation, speaking engagement, corporate website, or personal brand. The photography is directed around the role, audience, and intended use rather than simply producing a technically good photograph of a person.

My background includes brand and strategy, combined with 30 years of photography working across the U.S. and Europe. I understand the impact placed on an image once it leaves the studio - how it needs to reproduce, where it will appear, how it needs to be cropped, and what it needs to communicate.
The difference is not as simple as the camera or the lighting. It is the experience and judgment applied to the person in front of the camera and the business purpose behind the image.

Before I photograph you, I want to understand what the image needs to accomplish. My approach draws on brand strategy and communications - your role, audience, positioning, platforms, competitive environment, and where the images will be used.
That information informs the photography. For a single executive portrait, it may determine the expression, wardrobe, lighting, and composition. For a larger brand session, it can determine locations, situations, looks, and the range of imagery required.

Yes. I personally photograph every commission. There is no associate photographer or production handoff. That matters when the photography needs to be consistent over time, across executives, or across multiple locations. This ensures the highest quality and brand consistency, so the final output is indistinguishable across locations. With studios in Tampa and Paris, my ability to deliver locally and worldwide is something my clients have come to expect.

I personally oversee and hand-retouch the final images. Retouching is part of the photographic process, not an afterthought. The objective is a polished commercial image that still looks like the person — maintaining character, quality, and authenticity rather than producing an artificial version of the subject. This is the single biggest factor in making a multi-office rollout look like a single shoot.

The process is seamlessly handled by my studio. Nothing requires an executive to be available outside their own workday or scheduled session. We coordinate with you or your designated point of contact - typically the chief of staff, EA, or comms lead for the organization or region - depending upon session, scope, and location.
